Defending faith, family and freedom
When? Tuesday 19 November 7.30pm – 8.45pm
Where? Yateley Baptist Church, Cricket Hill Lane,
Yateley, GU46 6BA
Contact: Pastor Andrew Wigham 0870 765 2066
Information: We must defend gospel freedom because activists want a law against ‘conversion therapy’ to impose LGBT theology on preaching, prayer, pastoral work and parent-child conversations.
Allowing assisted suicide would put vulnerable people at risk, but the most sick and fragile in society are still valuable because they are made in God’s image. Meanwhile, in our schools, pupils are increasingly exposed to harmful ideologies and anti-Christian teaching. The good news is there are many ways Christians can be a positive influence.
Please join us to hear more about the difference you can make.

Café Theologique -A Manifesto for Hope: 10 principles for transforming the lives of children & young people
Cafe Theologique
A Manifesto for Hope: 10 principles for transforming the lives of children & young people
Speaker: Steve Chalke MBE
Monday 18th November, 7.30-9pm, ZeroDegrees Bar, Bridge Street
Steve Chalke MBE will speak about his book, A Manifesto for Hope, which sets out ten tried-and-tested practical principles for how to develop joined-up, cost-effective, community-empowering work, gleaned from the hard-won experience that has sat at the heart of Steve Chalke's mission over the past four decades... Steve demonstrates the stark choice facing us: keep pouring money into a faltering system, or reform and invest to improve people's lives. We need a new social covenant that empowers local charities, grassroots movements and faith groups - creating a more imaginative, more collaborative and less bureaucratic approach to community development - if we are going to transform the life chances of countless young people and families.
Café Théologique is hosted by the University of Reading Chaplaincy and is a space to explore contemporary issues from a theological perspective. All are welcome. Events are free to attend without booking. Guests are welcome to join us for food at the venue from 6pm.
This event will be in-person and online.

Living Out
What does the Bible really say about sexuality? Is it good news for all of us? How can we support those who experience same-sex attraction to stay faithful to Jesus and flourish?
Join us as we explore these questions and more, offering a positive biblical vision and practical steps forward for Christians seeking to show Christ-like love to everybody.
The Living Out team will engage with our culture, share from the Bible, tell their stories, apply to church life and answer your questions. We’d love to see you there!
Living Out is delighted to be bringing you this event, and it is open to all Christians. While there are opportunities on the day to ask questions about what the Bible teaches in this area, those speaking are committed to the Evangelical Alliance's biblical and pastoral position with respect to homosexuality, summarised in these affirmations. The focus of the event will be how we can uphold these truths and love and serve same-sex attracted people in our churches and society.
